Cultural intelligence (CQ) is the ability to navigate different cultural environments. The training provides many insights and practical tools that you can use after the training. The theoretical part is interspersed with practical exercises and real-life scenarios.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
he training aims to strengthen participants’ ability to function effectively in multicultural environments. By raising awareness of different values and practices, we will have better and more respectful interactions and strengthened relationships between people from different backgrounds. The aim is to increase participants’ CQ awareness, covering cognitive, emotional and practical behaviour in different situations.
Training promotes inclusion: CQ awareness creates a more inclusive environment that values diversity and promotes co-operation. CQ training creates the conditions for more harmonious, productive and innovative workplaces and communities.
TARGET GROUP
The training is suitable for anyone who has an interest in increasing their cultural awareness, whether you work at a global level or locally in a multicultural environment. The training is suitable for , the staff day or as a team building activity.

- The cultural world map
- The six cultural dimensions:
HIERARCHY: relationships between people; leadership & followership; names & titles
GROUP OBLIGATION: individual & group; anchoring & decision-making processes
FACT BASING: empiricism & theory; trust & truth; presentation techniques
TURN-TAKING: communication styles
CONFRONTATION: how to show dissenting views; giving & taking feedback; direct vs indirect confrontation
CLARITY: verbal & non-verbal communication; dialogue methods; body language; relation to time - Application of learning through real life scenarios
- Development of skills such as active listening and problem solving
- Intercultural encounters
A half day gives a good understanding of CQ in theory and practice. A full day is preferable if you are using the training as a team building activity as we have time for more individual requests and more interactive elements.
