Most managers spend 50-80% of their time in meetings, of which 30-50% is not effectively used working time. Our meetings take up a lot of unnecessary time and resources. Research shows that 75% of meeting leaders have never received any training in meeting management.<\/p>\n<p>Poor meetings create a poor working environment which costs the company\/organisation a lot of money both in terms of ill health and salary costs &#8211; ten people in a two-hour ineffecient meeting every week equates to 80 working hours a month. This is not sustainable.<\/p>\n<p>5S of Meetings\u00ae combines the well-proven 5S quality methodology \u2013 the basis of quality systems such as Lean and Toyota Production System \u2013 with an area where there is room for improvement: our daily meetings. If you learn to use the 5S of Meetings\u00ae in your meetings, you will not only reduce your meeting time, you will also ensure that the right people attend your meetings and learn how best to run an effective meeting.<\/p>\n<p>5S is originally a Japanese method and stands for Sort (seiri \u6574\u7406), Set in order (seiton \u6574\u9813), Shine (seiso\u6e05\u6383), Standardise (seiketsu\u6e05\u6f54) and Sustain (shitsuke\u8ebe).
